Summer TMSCA Number Sense Course – Middle School Beginners
July 21–22, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST

New to Number Sense or need a refresher? This beginner-friendly summer course is designed for middle school students (grades 6–8) who are just starting out or want to rebuild a strong foundation in mental math.

What You’ll Learn:

• Core Number Sense skills and strategies

• Basic techniques for mental math—no calculators or scratch paper

• How to approach squares, cubes, fractions, and patterns with confidence

• Introduction to TMSCA-style timed tests and format

• Step-by-step guidance in a low-pressure, supportive environment

• Format: In-person or virtual options available

• Who Can Join: Rising 6th–8th graders with little to no Number Sense experience or those needing a refresher
